The Poor Man Who Went to Africa — You Won’t Believe What Happened Next!

A poor man, tired of struggling to make ends meet, told his wife one evening, “I’m sick and tired of being poor! I’m going to Africa to work. I’ll come back rich, and we’ll finally live the life we deserve.”

His wife, though sad, agreed and wished him luck. Years passed — no letters, no calls, no word. Then one day, completely out of the blue, the man returned home.

As he approached his house, his jaw dropped. There were three brand-new cars parked outside, a huge house extension, and his wife standing on the porch — dressed beautifully, wearing gold jewelry, and looking completely different.

He was speechless. “Honey,” he stammered, “what happened? How did you manage all this?”

His wife smiled calmly and said, “Oh, you remember our neighbor, Mr. Benson? He took care of me while you were away… like a brother!

The poor man fainted on the spot. When he came to, she added, “Relax, dear. You said you were going to make us rich — and you did. Just not the way you expected!”

Moral of the story: Never underestimate what can happen when you leave your wife waiting too long! 😂
